Times tables!

If anyone fancies a challenge on your last 3 days off, why not practise your 3 and 4 times tables?Remember I want us to know them inside out by Christmas.

This means saying them forward, backwards and picking any one at random!

Have a go and we will have a little competition on Monday!

Half term

Hope you are all having a lovely half term and making the most of your time off.

Remember to complete your handwriting sheets, doubling function machines using the method we learned in class and also to prepare a presentation based on a book you love!

Enjoy yourselves and stay safe!

Clibing Wall!

Today we made the most of our climbing wall slot and the dry weather! We enjoyed working in teams to complete the climbing wall. We discussed the techniques we needed to use.
We had a great time!

Library visit

Today 4O went to visit the library. We all had great fun choosing books to take out and not even the rain could dampen our moods!

Our art work

For our art work this term we are studying an artist called Paula Wilkes. Her art work is all about collaging and we have started to create our own collages.
For our next lesson we need lots of materials to be brought in from home, these could be buttons, wrapping paper, wool or netting to name a few. We are aiming to have lots of different textures.

Our work is only a4 so make sure the materials aren't massive!

Thank you in advance for anything you are able to provide.

Making numbers 10 times bigger

Today in Year 4 we were learning how to make different numbers 10 times bigger. We had lots of fun trying out numbers and seeing what happened to them. We learned that to make a number 10 times bigger we move the numbers one place to the left.

Homework

Just a quick reminder to everyone that our homework is collected and sent out on two different days.

The English homework (yellow folders) is sent out on a Monday and needs to be kept at home until Friday to practise your spellings!

The maths homework (blue folders) is sent out on a Friday and needs to be in on a Monday.

You can do your homework in blue pen but it must be just as neat as if you were working in your books!

Have a lovely weekend.
See you Monday!
